Es Vedrà is approximately 400 meters high and it is one of the three geo magnetic points of the earth together with the Bermuda islands and the North Pole. During spring and autumn natural fogs cover the island, which disappears completely from the view. The movie South Pacific (1958) was filmed in Es Vedrà. There are several mythical stories around the Es Vedrà. Some argue is the place where Ulysses heard the mermaids; others believe Es Vedrá is a landing port for the UFOs.
